Ophiopogon japonicus 'Dwarf Mondo'

Schlangenbart

Der Schlangenbart ist eine grasähnliche bodendeckende Staude. 'Dwarf Mondo' bildet im Laufe der Zeit dichte grüne Matten.

Am liebsten steht Ophiopogon an halbschattigen Bereichen im Garten, bei sehr viel Sonne wächst er zwar auch, vergilbt aber etwas. Bei einer Pflanzung von 16 Pflanzen pro m² und nahrhaften Boden ist die Fläche in 1-2 Jahren dicht. 



Höhe: 5 cm

Blüte: Juli - August, weiß, leuchtend blauschwarzer Fruchtschmuck.

Blätter/Laub: grün, linearisch

Standort: halbschattig, durchlässiger Boden


In japanischen Gärten wird der Ophiopogon gern als Bodendecker und gestalterisches Element verwendet.
