Carex ist in diesem Jahr zur Staude des Jahres ernannt worden.

Diese Sorte ist sowohl als Bodendecker, als auch für kleine Einzelstellungen zu verwenden ist.

Für eine langlebige Kübelbepflanzung ist sie gut geeignet, aber auch in ruhigen Pflanzungen in Parks oder auf dem Friedhof kann man die Vogelfußsegge finden.
