Ein attraktives wintergrünes Gras, braucht bei strengen Kahlfrösten etwas Schutz. Die bläulichgrünen Blätter mit dem schmalen weißen Rand sind etwas weicher als man es sonst von den Japanseggen kennt.

Niedrige Japansegge mit leicht überhängenen weichen Blättern, bildet im Laufe der Zeit dichte Flächen, die in schattigen Bereichen ruhig wirken.
